About Me

Mr Jonathan Noël, MBBS (UWI) FRCS (Urol) is a double robotic surgical fellowship trained urologist.

He was born in the UK and attended medical school in the Caribbean. Mr Noël is a third generation surgeon, his father and grandfather practiced in the island of Grenada. Upon returning to the UK to specialise in urology, he developed expertise in prostatectomy techniques such as the Royal Marsden's anterior retzius spare and Lister Hospital's NeuroSAFE: neurovascular structure adjacent frozen section examination.

Mr Noël went further to advance his robotic prostate surgery by undertaking a competitive fellowship in Florida, US. He is the only UK surgeon to receive formalised mentorship from Professor Vipul Patel, and this has enhanced his surgical foundation from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. The high volume and complex case experience he continues to accrue, re-enforces Mr Noël's safe and effective radical surgical approach to prostate cancer.  The experience in the diversity and care of patients, working in three health care systems across the globe; allows Mr Noël a fusion of management approaches.

His research portfolio includes analysis of emerging robotic systems, augmented reality and artificial intelligence platforms; with a focus on their impact to health care delivery. He joined Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust in 2022 as a consultant surgeon and has performed an excess of 100 robotic procedures in his first twelve months. Referencing the British Association of Urological Surgeons, the median number of procedures done by individual surgeons is 46 per year in the UK. Mr Noël leads in prostate cancer diagnosis at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust for the South East London Cancer Network.

 

Lastly, he is the Medical Director of the Global Robotic Prostate which launched in 2023 to deliver services at internationally renowned independent Hospitals. Mr Noël focuses on improving patient's experience and outcome through their diagnostic and treatment journey.
